The 2025/26 report states that 127 children were referred to The Register this year, bringing the total number of children to 158.

Of the 158 children, 75 were visible which is 47% of the children’s profiles.

111 families were referred making total number of families to 153 however, out of the 153 family profiles only 42 were family finding at the time this report was written.

This means that only 27% of prospective adopters on The Register are actively family finding, following the concerning trend that is being seen across all 4 UK nations, where the number of prospective adopters are dropping and the number of children seeking a family are increasing.
