Scottish Government publish questionnaire on historical adoption cases

The Scottish Government have developed a survey and are currently inviting views from anyone who has been affected by  historical adoption in Scotland, particularly between the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

Quoted directly from their website: “In June 2021, the First Minister made a commitment to fully consider the issue of historical adoption practices in Scotland. We want to listen to, acknowledge, and put on record the experiences of people who have been affected. We are offering a private space for people to come forward to share their own experiences, be heard and acknowledged, telling their story in complete confidentiality.”

Our Next Exchange Day will be held on Monday 22nd April 2024 at Dundee Caird Hall. All approved prospective adopters and family finding workers are encouraged to attend.
